5 posts · Joined 2012. #1 · Oct 7, 2012. Hi Guys, Today I climbed on my BX-25 and after starting it, I discovered that the center mount mower deck would not lift. I fact I couldn't tell if there was any moment at all. The rear 3-point goes up and down, but not the center. The tractor is in good shape, low hours and fluid levels all check out.
The very first step in leveling a mower deck, actually does not begin with a mower deck at all. It begins with the tires. It begins with the tires. The very first thing you're going to want to do before starting this at all is grab a tire pressure gauge, go around to your tires, and check and make sure they're inflated to the proper PSI. The Kubota ZG124E is a Zero Turn Mower , first manufactured by Kubota in Approx 2013, and was in production for a number of years after. Also try adjusting your height knob to TOP after putting deck all the way down, see if that helps, the adjustment knob pawls (notches) could be worn to not catch the knob. Look under there with someone raising and lowering it s-l-o-w-l-y. You may have to remove the mower deck to get a better view. See if it's moving with the 3PH. If it is, trace it to under the tractor (if you can with the deck mounted - otherwise you may need to remove it to check the rest of the linkage). That's all I can think of off the top of my head. You can try increasing the RPM's and raising the deck to see if that gets it up. The deck doesn't raise all the way up at lower RPM's. Or you can adjust the bolts for the side to side balancing of the deck in order to lower them and allow the deck to go up higher. There is a small detaunt that the blade sets in so it is centered to the shaft and the bolt. Tightening the bolt with a wrench will not get it tight enough. Make sure the bolt threads are ok and not stripped.
