I watched a couple of YouTube videos where the Kimber Take-down tool was used. MHO is that little tool makes me nervous. A couple of guys use the 1911 Ultra Take Down tool.Make one or two strokes the length of the sandpaper with medium pressure (start lightly to get the feel -- you don't want to take off too much), then try starting the sight into the slide's dovetail again. Do this until you can get about 1/32" or so started into the dovetail. Installing the new sight is easier.To adjust the trigger on a Kimber 1911, you will need to disassemble the gun and make adjustments to the trigger set screw. Compared to my other 1911's, it feels sloppy, clunky and is loud. I know it's not a high end Kimber, but my Ruger SR1911 feels better.To clean a Kimber 1911 .45 cal, first ensure it is unloaded, then disassemble the gun according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
