I had an exactly same issue in my 2009 CR-V. It drove fine, just a flashing D. Took it to a dealership and it turned out to be a faulty 2nd gear pressure switch. They charged me $350 for parts and labor. I could have done it myself as it can be easily done DIY style.
Step 1: Remove the Old Switch. The first thing you will need to do is remove the transmission fluid pressure switch. This can be a little tricky, but with a little patience, you should be able to do it. The best way to remove it is to use a socket wrench.
