It has degenerated into a bitchfest replete with self proclaimed know-it-alls. Most of the really knowledgable FALers are gone.And YES goddammit, I put HEAT on it as soon as I realized it wasn't going to release by ordinary effort. I bought this thing for two reasons. 1. It has a cutout in the receiver to accept a small low-mount optic. 2. It has the bumper-pool gizzy in the feed-well that allows you to shot 1 3/4" shells. #1. Germany had a number of small design changes made to the FAL rifle before they adopted what in 1956 became the G1 Fal. None of those changes are present in these rifle kits.
