Do this with the bike on its side stand on level pavement, garage floor, etc. Put a pan under the final drive, remove both the oil filler cap and the oil drain bolt. The oil drain bolt is the lower of the two. Drain completely, put the drain bolt and washer back and tighten it. Fill final drive with 4 ounces of SAE 80 hypoid gear oil.I think I may check mine (gear oil) every other year (season), but then again, I may be lucky to put on a couple thousand miles a season.
