Hi I'm pretty new to the game and I've never actually done any sort of farming yet. I've made a little base down in one of the deep caves and I was wondering if I needed sunlight to grow crops. I've been seeing some mixed answers online, so I don't actually know. If you have to use a lot of tanks to supply water, go 1-for-2 for crops per water. A 200 water tank could irrigate two small plots or a medium plot long enough for the rain to hit, but I do suggest having a tap with jars as backup. For players, There's a neat configuration for a 'rain well'.
