Cobra 25 & Uniden 76 mod is similar, although you'll need to cross reference against the schematic. 1: change the final to a 2sc1969. 2: change the driver to a 2sc2314. 3: change the electrolytic capacitor by the audio IC (C42, 1000uf) to a.2. Set the s/rf/swr/cal switch to CAL. 3. Press and hold the mic button. 4. While holding the mic button, adjust the SWR CAL knob so the meter pointer lines up with the CAL mark at the right side of the meter. 5. While still holding the mic button, move the s/rf/swr/cal switch to SWR and read the meter.Disconnect the antenna from the CB and plug in the SWR meter to the CB with the jumper. Then hook up the antenna to the SWR meter where it reads "Antenna." Move the switch on the meter to "FWD." Press the microphone key and use the knob to switch to "Set." You will see the meter move to the set mark.Here is an example I had with a Cobra 29 several years ago. In bone stock trim the radio worked like this. Dead key = 3.5 watts. AM Swing = 6-7 watts. Modulation= 60%. After a 25 dollar peak and tune here are the results. Dead Key = 5.5 Watts. AM Swing = 22-24 Watts. Modulation = 100%.

It seems like all radio test pass SWR 1.3 to 1, Battery Test Passes, and Power Test Passes, but the warning light still comes on even as you talk.
I also had to do this with a cobra 29 LTD chrome. the light kept comming on. VR6 must be the adjustment for the light of the warning indicator 29 ltd and on the screen of tne new LX model also. as far as I can tell. Seems if you adjust for modulation you wil get the warning.
