Ddo wizard build.
That build is obsolete and doesn't reflect the Pale Master changes from last year. That said, the gist of the build still works fine, you simply need to redo Enhancements. Vampire form has more synergies with a melee Eldritch Knight, but that's not a requirement. I posted one example using staves here.

Bard wouldn't be a bad choice because you can get lots of cheap DCs in Spellsinger for Illusion spells, but bard doesn't have any useful illusion spells of its own, and the Deep Gnome PK shouldn't work on a charisma caster. A wizard's main ability scores are Intelligence and Constitution. Choose your race either to boost these scores, or to gain access to good racial Enhancements. Warforged, Drow and Human are probably the best three races. Typical abilities: Ability changes: bonus to STR or CON, bonus to CHA, maybe penalty to DEX. Pick an element, gain breath weapon + resistance. Many dragonborns sprout wings, gaining glide/flight abilities. Dragonborn in various PnP editions:Start with 1 EK, 6 PM (core 2 for PM form), 5 Harper and work your way to 12 Harper asap and go to EK from there. Just use a 2handed weapon before 6, when you should swap to swf longswords, battleaxes or warhammers. Edit: correcting swf into the build, as pointed out. Even without THF, Wizard EK is still quite strong.

Hope you find them useful, and constructive comments/ suggestions are always welcome! physical damage will suffer if u use a dc set. combining spell and physical damage splits your reaper points across 3 trees instead of 2. In heroics abd early epics its totally possible to have workable dcs in ranged sets, as i have done it (i have a lot of past lives though). Imo wizard 18/2 inquis is best heroic.

Air sorc first life might have some issues with enemy reflex saves in higher difficulties (elite or r1) at higher levels (level 20+).
