Aug 15, 2018 · My lowest serial number is on My P239 Nitron DAK 56A 0088XX. Next is My P239 Scorpion 56A 0110XX. My two P220s surprised Me P220 10MM Lipsey 37B 0494XX. but My P220 Equinox 37B449XX. From this I'm guessing that More Lipsey's were made than Equinoxes. Not many P938 Equinoxes either 52A 0159XX. History for SiGs is spotty or at least not published publically. If the gun was proofed in Germany there is a date code. If not the only information you can get is from the serial number and only SiG has that information. Unfortunately they no longer give it out for free. According to the customer service, "That P229, serial number AKU07424, was part of a special configuration batch of P229 pistols made to a distributor’s specifications.
