From what I can tell most people prefer the Lansky for its price. The KME got overall good reviews. The Edge Pro didnt seem to favor well with some because of its holding system where it slides around. Razor blades are highly YMMV. Just trust your own experience. I love Rockwell blades, I get a weeks worth of shaves out of them, but everyone is different. I have a tough beard and found the Rockwell blades to not be up to the task. The Henson is phenomenal. Design and execution are top notch. Most importantly, shaves are smooth and close. I was hesitant to try it after its price increase -- I do still believe that $70 for an aluminum razor is excessive -- but am glad I picked one up in a BST forum. I have both the mild and medium. Quit cartridge razor's as I was getting bad razor burn on my neck to the point people were asking if I have been choked. I prefer the medium for my neck, but I started learning with the mild. Both will do you well and I think either should work. There isn't much difference in aggressiveness between the two.It's normal to use the same blade multiple times before switching them out. Some blades actually shave better after a couple of uses as their protective Teflon coating starts to wear away from the edge. I get around 6 shaves out of my Gillette Silver Blues, with shaves 3 and 4 often being the sweet spot.

There are differences with steel razors in terms of things like feedback, but so minor as to be unworthy of consideration. Other design factors have more influence on shave characteristics.
