I have a 08 S with about 2500 miles on it. My VDC off and SLIP light came on when I started the Xterra today and never went off. I drove about 50-60 miles running errands, starting and stopping a few times and the light still won't go off.Feb 4, 2021 · Pulled out from a red light, the battery indicator came on and my Xterra died. If I hit the rear diff switch the REAR DIFF light goes out and then ABS and SLIP come on. I can hear the 4wd engage both high and low when I turn it on with my door open. Now both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are back on. Well the first thing you will need to do is have the truck scanned for codes. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations. So they will both need to be reset.Take Xterra to a semi straight road. Straighten steering wheel and turn off the car. Start the car back up go straight. Should take about 10 feet and lights will turn off and vdc is reset.
