If u have a 100 series small tire (6" rim 13" tire) with a 212cc left bone stock with a torque converter on it and run a 10/ 50-55 gear ratio, u would get somewhere in the 27-35 mph range. Take your bowl off and the main jet will be up in the tube that the bowl screws onto. Use a skinny flathead screwdriver and simply take it out and put a smaller jet in there.I got very similar results by putting a hotrodded (15+ hp.) 212cc in a kart too heavy for it. The real horsepower in it only appears at much higher rpm than the kart could get up to with its tall gearing. Only got 22 mph from a kart that was planned to go about 55 mph on a 12:60 ratio (1:5).Maybe it is a little confusing to the novice. Let's say you have 10t on the Jack shaft and 50 on the axle, that's 5 to 1, multiply that times the engine to Jack shaft, 2.0, and you have 10.0. If you leave the engine and gas sorry Jack shaft gears blank, at the intersection of 10 and 50, you'll see 5.0.
