I've had two motors in this truck, the first gave me about 12 l/100km... (19mpg?) the new motor is burning about 23 l/100km... (about 10mpg). I made a custom adapter plate to mate the OM617 to the r150f Toyota transmission. I re drilled the Toyota flywheel to fit the Mercedes crankshaft as well as machined a custom pilot bearing adapter. I just finished the engine build and am working on hooking everything back up. Just go 22re or 3rzfe and turbo it, they can make a-lot more power than either of the v6’s with better mpg. If you dont care about brand or resale value, go with a 6bt, maybe a 4bt but that has worse mpg, an om617 would work too but not nearly as reliable as a cummins
