I have noticed that my very rusty fuel vapor return line looks to have a few small seeps, showing wet spots on the line in the same consistent places.Which fuel line is the return line? Is it the one the routes under the oil pan and then hooks to the hard line on the frame rail under the engine mount??? Or is it the other one???/

Update on the fuel lines/tank. Everything is re-installed and running smoothly so far (knock on wood). Cleaned and inspected fuel tank. Most of the manufactures switched at the OBD1/OBD11 transition. I own a 93 YJ and a 99TJ, YJ's have a regulator on at the fuel rail with the return going back to the tank and TJ's have a single feed line with all regulation in the tank as part of the sending unit.

Failing Mechanical Fuel Pump. Have a 89 YJ carbureted. Haven't had very long and I have had to replace 2 mechanical fuel pumps. One of the pumps was actually bent. Appears to be unable to withstand the pressure. So, I dropped the tank and replaced two vents. Just forward of the fuel tank, the line makes several sharp bends and also changes from rubber to metal line. 9 times out of 10, the leak is at this point.
