Meaning it runs on your computer, where as tradovate is a web based application so it runs on the web. Free platform. Comparable if not cheaper commissions than AMP. For scalpers i would say tradovate is the way to go if you get the commission free trading package. Other than that the platform is pretty laggy compared to quantower , ninja trader etc, but it is a good starter platform. Tradovate has pretty good commission structure, you can do "Active trader" or "Commission free" membership either monthly or yearly. I do the active trader, which is about $80/month and I get $0.19/contract fees. Tradovate charts are awful compared to ToS, so I end up using ToS charts and use Tradovate to place my orders and executions.
