AA does have the better commuter policy hands down. I suggest you go to AA and try it out. If you still think you're missing out, go to UAL afterwards, but UAL has a fraction of the bus that AA has and bus type flying at AA goes to the 737 at UAL with the UAL bus usually doing 175 type flying at AA. You're so young the seniority difference is negligible, and on retirements alone you'll make up that 6 month difference. UAL will be hiring more and you will make that up quickly, especially when you factor in the WB opportunities out of EWR.
