There is no difference in the food quality - the menus are similar. I enjoyed my meals at both resorts. The biggest "plus" at STV is the preferred pool.

Once in awhile you will see 2 ladies traveling together or 2 guys traveling together. Look for a family friendly hotel where there will be a mix of adults and children.
