Suzuki outboard no power to ignition.

I had to hand winch it onto the trailer and it is now "stuck" in the no power to switches, non running mode. I have to tell you that this motor was a transplant from a previous 90 hp yamaha that was originally on the boat. If I jump 12v from the fuse block to the start (S) post on the ignition switch, the engine will turn over but not start. Here are the things have checked out okay: - Battery good. - Throttle in Neutral and kill switch securely in place. - 50A breaker on engine tests okay. - All fuses in the fuse panel test okay.

With that wire disconnected from the power-pack, connect one lead of the ohm meter to the end leading from the ignition switch with the other lead of the meter to any power-head ground. With the key turned OFF, there should be a ground reading such as a dead short. With the key ON. there should be no reading.
