2017 Outback Power Windows. I have owned many different vehicles in my lifetime and this is my first Subaru. I like everything so far about the vehicle except the power windows. Seems like at least once a month I have to go thru the reset procedures to get my front windows auto feature to function. This is a pain in the *** .

It rolls down fine, but when truing to roll it up, it will roll up an inch and then stop. I then have to let off the window button and push it again, in which it only rolls up 1 inch.

I resolved it by doing the following: 1. start car. 2. lower driver's window all the way and hold the switch in the down position for extra 10 seconds. 3. raise window (2 inches at a time) until it is all the way up. Then hold switch in up position for 10 seconds.

Hold the button down for 3 seconds. Then lift the switch up, bringing the window to the top position. Hold it there for 3 seconds. Repeat this two more times and the window should be reset. *On 2015 and later, it is the same operation but only hold it down 2 seconds. If you hold it down longer, it will continue to be in non pinch mode.

Dealer showed me how to reset. Start with the window up, then lower the window and HOLD the button down for 5 seconds, then raise the window and HOLD the window up for 5 seconds.
