Oanda changed my demo account server. Rants. I had been using this particular demo account for the last 2 weeks or so. Been practicing my new strategy successfully on indices. I was previously on the Practice 4 server which which was perfect. Fast forward today, I get an email from Oanda saying they've moved me to a Practice 2 server.

Oanda won’t allow you to trade US30. They don’t allow indices. On tradingview it's called "US30USD". If you live in the US you won't be able to trade it. But if you don't live in the US, I guess MT4 just doesn't have it, and you need to go try on tradingview platform. I'll check out trading view next.

I no longer recommend Oanda for non-US residents as of a couple of years ago. Remember that Oanda or any provider hedges their exposure to a certain extent. Which means they pay/collect financing too.
