p3400 p3497 - ok hold on. First make sure the oil level is good. 3400 is the rocker arm oil pressure switch. I'd recommend to change the front and the rear switch. Poor Idle Quality, Misfire, MIL with code P3497 (VPS fault) Recent repairs: timing belt service, valve cover gaskets, front spool valve gasket, oil service, transmission cooler lines and hoses; Issue arose shortly after repairs (about 40 miles)About a week ago the code came back AGAIN, this time with rough running/idling again as well. In addition to the P0301 code it also showed a P0430 code. I again swapped out the ignition coil, and the code and rough running/idling went away for a couple days.
