Properly Leveling a L5P. First thing most of our customers do after buying a new truck is have the truck ride height adjusted so it sits the way they want and throw on a new set of wheels and tires. Most the time this is just raising the front because they dont like the amount of rake they are set at out of the factory.

If the run is 40 feet round trip that means you're somewhere around 15-20 watts per linear foot of cable. That's way too much; they're going to get hot. And 20 feet is pretty conservative for one-way distance, to be honest. 25 is probably more realistic.
This will help you see the specific code when it happens and have the ability to clear it when needed. The L5P has so many sensors on it that you can monitor absolutely everything without needing any additional probes. The L5p was a very small exhaust side configuration, small up pipes, small exhaust turbo vanes, etc. So I am guessing the ECM was seeing some very high EGT’s and cut power to keep from melting pistons. The diameter is too big (cooler changed in 2020) and without relocating the secondary coolant pump, it's too long. 2) the CAT filter adapters sold previously don't work as the oil cooler threads have changed now. 3) the CAT filter has no internal bypass valve.
