For Vow of the Disciple, King’s Fall, and Root of Nightmares, there is a puzzle in the raid which spawns an additional chest that is guaranteed to drop a red border weapon. This means that your are guaranteed 2 red borders from Vow, King’s Fall, and RoN each week and 1 from DSC (DSC does not have a puzzle that spawns an additional red border).
The red weapon chest is once per week per account, so if you want to go back into the raid with a character you’ve already played the raid with that week just for the red chest, then that is entirely possible.
