Two weeks ago I replaced the coolant temp sensor after noticing the gauge went to zero reading while driving and message about "steering assist reduced" on dash. The initial diagnosis by my GMC Service Dept, was a failed steering box which was replaced at a cost to me of $1,300. Two weeks later the same problem re-occurred.
