Under Mr. Ford's direction, the Tarpon Springs Outdoor Performance Ensemble has been named a seven-time Bands of America AA and AAA division Super Regional Champion and BOA Grand National Champion in 2014. The band was one of 11 bands from around the country to perform at the 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
