Most likely, the original head was an 8060 head. Some Sm's and MTA's had 8574 heads. Both heads will give you a smooth running tractor giving you 45 hp. Stay away from the 8704 head which is the distillate head. Yes, the 400 and 450 gas heads will work. Not sure of the numbers. The 450 LP head # is 364586. The gas 400 head # might be 356994. Marv

The LP manifold has the intake runner completely detached from the exhaust runners. A 450 gas manifold is the same as an LP, it just has 3 ribs that connect the intake and exhaust runners, these 3 ribs can be ground off if so desired. 450 LP head part# 364586R

A lot of them never got installed and that makes a difference too.
