I prefer the Estoc's longer range over the Rapier's extra damage (Estoc also looks cooler). The long reach also helps when I feel like attacking from behind a shield at a safer distance. I do use the Rapier off-hand so I'm forced to learn how to parry/ dodge faster, so I may switch over to Rapier again. My main is dex/pyro build with chaos blade and SKS backup (among many others). I've had some luck with unlocked WR R1 dead angles. Or the occasional instant dash IF they decide to roll.

On a pyro build i would recommend it in offhand, because some pyromancies combo with estoc light attack. Leo ring's not worth it though. It only increases physical damage, and you're probably infusing it with dark or chaos.
