Theres HUNDREDS of broken DURAMAX cranks from guys running aftermarket balancers on engine with cirtually no run time. LML's seem to pop around the 150-200K mile mark, others are a gamble. As to harmonics, these same harmonics are present in engines running ATI balancers, it's just a natural harmonic in the engine.

LML no crank, no codes, ran fine yesterday. 2011 LML, 65k miles. Drove it to work and back yesterday with no problems. Parked overnight, plugged in, overnight low was only 30 degrees so not too cold. Once you remove that hub then you can see the cam gear and pin. It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.Jun 18, 2019 · L. If you think it might be a rod bearing, pull the filter cut it open, unroll the filter media and take a look for metal, you can also order an oil sample kit, take the sample send it in and it will also tell the tale, if its a bearing. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
