This is the build I wish I started with, as it allows you to use the best guns in the game. The only weapon you won't have access to is the cannon, but the damage difference between the church cannon and it aren't worth the extra points (not to mention ammo consumption). Finally the minigun is an insane weapon in pvp and incredibly fun.

That is why the standard Rakuyo build is at the top of the list. The sheer damage output you can attain is insane, especially coupled with visceral attack damage. The cane is one of my favorite weapons and one of the best skill weapons in the game. How I start every build is get my Vit and End to around 20 before I start putting points into the other stats. Once at 20 put some in skill to start getting some damage from the cane. Then put points into whatever you think will help you at the time.It scales better with Skill than the Cleaver and is arguably the better weapon - thrust attacks, serrated damage on both forms. Threaded Cane is also Skill, but I've never been a huge fan of it. Of all the weapons I have access to none gives me a Skill bonus as good as the cane, but many seems to be more balanced between Strenght and Skill, or Arcane and Skill.
