Personally I treat Universe Mode as a career mode or season mode where I only focus on a couple of wrestlers at a time. Also create your own rules. Ignore all of the power rankings and title rankings. That shit has been broken for years. Set up your own number one contenders matches and title rematches and whatnot. Play however you want.

You also dont have to worry about your game constantly crashing due to having a lot of caws, arenas, and championships. 2k19 is the definitive wrestling game imo. I think while 2K19 offers more, 2K22's offerings are so much more fresh and polished. I still think that SvR 2011-WWE '13's Universe is the way to go. But the thing is, I can't play it. I can select what character I want to be before the match starts, but then that's it. There's no continue button or anything. You might have to switch to Classic mode to sort that out. Had same bug. Had to switch shows. Invisible tag partner is my favourite glitch in this mode. Basically universe is unplayable.
