That's really kind of you. I'm not really that awesome, I just happen to love living things and I'm lucky enough to have a partner that loves them too and supports my crazy ideas (it's not easy living in a 2 bedroom urban apartment with 200+ plants, two dogs, and 4 fish tanks).

I like to soak items like that in a slightly acid water tank with a pump running for a few days to a few weeks so that any chemicals that want to dissolve and leech out can leech out into the tank of mildly acidic water, which is tap water with little vinegar, rather than into the fish. The first reason is because they witch hunt those who disagree with them, the second is because the aquariums they upload are usually not bad, and the last reason is because they do not know what they are talking about.
