The brand was started by friends, Kimberly Johnson, a vintner, and Denise Matthews, a sommelier. Not only is it the first Black-owned winery in Maryland, but it’s also the first fully female-owned winery in the state. This delicious wine was crafted, first and foremost, from our love of Zinfandel and our desire to drink Zin on warm summer nights. Now in its eleventh vintage, this wine was produced from 75% Zinfandel, 24% Petite Sirah and 1% Alicante Bouschet and received four hours of skin contact before the juice was bled off.
