Regarding the mining dimension, Allthemodium ore is found ONLY in the deep slate layer. Allthemodium ore is Never found outside the deepslate layer inside the mining dimension. Your best bet is to grab a set of pickaxes and a pile of food and vein mine the deep slate. At least until you get enough resources to build a chunk destroyer.
