It snaps to the shoulder naturally; the 20-inch barrel gives this Marlin rifle near-perfect balance. A proper cheek weld is no sweat. Marlin has a ramp front sight, the Glenfield uses a front sight dovetailed into the barrel. The Marlins have a little nicer rear sight. Most of the Marlin 336s have a barrel band type forearm, the Glenfields use the end cap type forearm. Marlin has a gold trigger.

Like Richard said, the 30aw is basically a 336 with different furniture and some exterior hardware. Internally they are identical.
