Then I noticed that no matter what, when I verify integrity of game files it tells me that 1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired. Even if I verify, and then immediately do it again, it tells me this. I don't know how to fix this issue, but I suspect it has something to do with my current glitch. Can anyone help me?

If the ones failing to validate for you are different then this may be a different issue. Here is what worked for us: Navigate to your Helldivers 2 install directory and go to the Tools folder.
